BRYC 14 National Takes Silver at MD Jrs Open (2016-03-15)

BRYC Storm had a strong showing at MD Juniors Saturday with a 2nd place finish in the MD Juniors Open. After finishing 2nd behind DE Juniors in pool play, the girls had the opportunity to play the BRYC Boys 14 National team. The Boys, having already earned a bid to the Boys USAV National Championships this year, were expected to be a stout challenge and they did not disappoint. After Storm dropped the first set, 25-19, to the undefeated boys, the girls regrouped and rose to the challenge winning the next two sets 25-16 and 15-13 in a very exciting match for both the girls and the spectators. In the finals, the girls ran into a resilient DE Juniors team again losing in three sets.
This day showed the team what they were capable of and gave a great deal of confidence and momentum going into NEQs this coming weekend.
